This gallery, “Appalachian Gold” was created to honor Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega, Georgia, my current “hometown.” Gold was discovered in Dahlonega in 1828. I call Dahlonega “Norman Rockwell South” for it is quintessential-quaint, minus the northeast “attitude.” The photographs in this gallery were all made in Lumpkin County, where Dahlonega is the county seat. Enjoy!

Yo Dallas, I was in your bible study a long time ago and I had an inkling to look you up on the web. Your pics like I wanto take and I intend to totally rip your ideas off.I hope you and Martha are well. The word of God is alive and true, and the bible is the word of God, and the king james is the one I commit to memory.

Dallas you seem to soak up and enjoy the colors of the landscape. You feel the textures of every thing you photograph. Your photos are energetic and positive. May every day of your life bring you fresh hopes for tomorrow.
